“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
Seven years ago The Artists Gallery
opened an exciting chapter in my life
that I had always wanted to pursue:
painting full time! I had just finished
my teaching and administrative
career when Kay Hofler invited me
to the monthly opening receptions.
I discovered a cooperative that was
welcoming and nurturing. Since
joining I have renewed contacts with
former art students and colleagues
and made new associations with
gallery members, patrons and
customers. I also organize the
gallery’s education outreach program
of workshops and demonstrations.
Exchanging ideas and viewpoints with
fellow artists has been stimulating
to both the creative expression and
discovery in my work. All these
experiences enrich my life beyond
measure. On this 25th Anniversary,
I wish many more years of success
for The Artists Gallery!
